Vadodara Photography Club

Vadodara, city of life, light and sound and culture. You can live life like seeing world through caleidoscope.

There are eyes that see incidents and there are eyes that see life through incidents. I am in favour of the later ones. Most of the photographers change themselves to see more than an incident, they start seeing content, forms, shapes in a scene.

Vadodara has so many of such photographers who came into limelight this month through their photography exhibition. Life has mostly become virtual, in there these photographers took advantage of this virtual internet life and materialize their dream to have a photographic community in virtual world and then achieve their dream of having an exhibition.

I saw that exhibition on Saturday....it was not run of the mill exhibition with amateurish photos saying we are NEW. It was new, fresh and hobby like passionate.

And I went back on Sunday to see them again and.................................to be a member of this society of photographers.

They are called Vadodara Photography Club.

Hands - I liked formation of these hands..at times for a split seconds, camera lies a lot yet tells a story. Not every story need to be a true story, isn't it?

 Family visit

From the hall - This shot gave me a pleasure of using reflection to capture to stories in one. I wish I could capture someone from the back wearing the VPC T-shirt.

Rabindranath and his songs, Rabindrasangeet is every Bengali's colour of their culture, essence of their values. Chennai has many Bengalis living their life in a different geographical and cultural world here. A group of people, friends had taken an initiative to sing Rabindrasangeet in a group, a large group rather, counting nearly 80. They will sing 20 songs all together, once, on stage. To do this, with so many members to be in sync, they are practicing for months. This session is one of them.

Kaas plateau - impossibly natural

You are lucky if you stay near Satara. If not, pack your camera, reach Kasara or Pune to reach this place. You will be welcome by a patient nature who did impossibly natural beauties there. We had hard time trying close our jaws and keeping our eyes open. Kaas is a flower land, a plateu full of varieties of flowers. They grow naturally, they live for a short time, like any other beauties. And the place keep on bringing new varieties within days. It all happens in June to October beginning, depending on temperature, humidity of the time. Lets stop talking or reading, start seeing the faint tr that me could through a mere light sealed box and lenses.
