Modhera and Adalaj

Adalaj has a step well, like a fossil of Rose in time which bears love of Ruda devi, a queen.
On the other hand Modhera Sun temple with another step well as big as a football ground and as dip as a piling excavation of multi storied building foundation tells another love story. all these cut out stone and assembled architecture told me hush hush stories of love and pure passion in belief.

All photos taken in this shoot were with an old 28-80 Pentax A manual zoom with my Sony NEX 3 body.

Shooting light in forms.

Enchanted and tired visitors of Adalaj Step-well.

A visitor is passing on terrace of the step-well.

Belief in the stone.

Shapes on frames.

Stoned love of life.

Light on once upon a time.

Care and dare-devil in warehouse of time. This shot is from Modhera Sun temple.

Modhera Sun temple.

West side of the Sun temple.

Another view.

A not so old Shiva temple in front of Sun temple.

Pillars by the side of temple. I think there was another temple originally.

Friends and their son.

Rectangled stories.

Visitors in Sun temple's step well.

An impromptu photo shoot. Well, that's me.

The step well of Modhera Sun temple has 108 small temples. some are bigger than others. this is one perspective shot comparing them.

Rust stones...

Robinson Crusoe.

Like a lover among trees, this small temple attracted me from the first look of it.

The today's tourist, we, look too much in contrast with this 1000 years old architecture.

Adalaj is around 18 km North-West of Ahmedabad, and another nearly 100 km will take you to Modhera.

Rabindrasangeet in 100 voices - Rehearsal in Chennai

Rabindranath and his songs, Rabindrasangeet is every Bengali's colour of their culture, essence of their values. Chennai has many Bengalis living their life in a different geographical and cultural world here. A group of people, friends had taken an initiative to sing Rabindrasangeet in a group, a large group rather, counting nearly 80. They will sing 20 songs all together, once, on stage. To do this, with so many members to be in sync, they are practicing for months. This session is one of them.

Kaas plateau - impossibly natural

You are lucky if you stay near Satara. If not, pack your camera, reach Kasara or Pune to reach this place. You will be welcome by a patient nature who did impossibly natural beauties there. We had hard time trying close our jaws and keeping our eyes open. Kaas is a flower land, a plateu full of varieties of flowers. They grow naturally, they live for a short time, like any other beauties. And the place keep on bringing new varieties within days. It all happens in June to October beginning, depending on temperature, humidity of the time. Lets stop talking or reading, start seeing the faint tr that me could through a mere light sealed box and lenses.
