Kindergarden kaleidoscope called Karnataka (Part 1) - Halebidu & Belur

You know what I meant when I said you get confused in cities. Even getting your vehicle certified for pollution seems dangerous when you such a car calling you to get your PUC paper.

Crossing the street is not only confusing, it is DANGEROUS!

I start looking for driving out, driving on long stretch of roads. I start craving for my view of road, my view of passing towns, villages, cities. Philosophically I get connected to my reason of living when I see passing views passing with time as I drive by. It resembles my time in the world. As I live in a life like a traveller, I can feel the same freedom when I see villagers buying things on the road, someone waiting for a bus for hours, a crow crosses the road, a cow looks at you munching whatever she got.
Well, that crave ultimately got a chance. We have decided to go to Karnataka. We will be seeing many old temples, jungle and ocean. It ill be a combination of history, culture, food, architecture and nature.

We started on 15th March, the day our daughter Brishti had her last exam. We started at 1:30 pm and reached Kolhapur by 7:30 pm while wasted 30 minutes in Thane traffic only.
We have decided that we will keep our route and stop floating, flexible and situation based. We got a a hotel by the side of highway within 15 minutes. We get to know locals and experience more in our free trips.

We start next day at 6 am from the hotel, next destination in Halebidu town, some 550 km away.
I started feeling free again as the scene started looking like a long journey one. We had been through this stretch of AH47 highway when we did our Vadodara-Kanyakumari trip.

You start feeling free when you see such restaurants by the roadside. The colourful bottles of cold drinks, Oily walls with bright colours having spots of dirt.

I stop for local food in small restaurants than those big ones, I get human connection free alongwith food.

Chennai has many Bengalis living their life in a different geographical and cultural world here. A group of people, friends had taken an initiative to sing Rabindrasangeet in a group, a large group rather, counting nearly 80. They will sing 20 songs all together, once, on stage. To do this, with so many members to be in sync, they are practicing for months. This session is one of them.

Kaas plateau - impossibly natural

You are lucky if you stay near Satara. If not, pack your camera, reach Kasara or Pune to reach this place. You will be welcome by a patient nature who did impossibly natural beauties there. We had hard time trying close our jaws and keeping our eyes open. Kaas is a flower land, a plateu full of varieties of flowers. They grow naturally, they live for a short time, like any other beauties. And the place keep on bringing new varieties within days. It all happens in June to October beginning, depending on temperature, humidity of the time. Lets stop talking or reading, start seeing the faint tr that me could through a mere light sealed box and lenses.
