A day with Chennai book fair and the travel

Chennai city os growing and adding complexities in construction like Metro. People are taking it as part of their life for the DEVELOPMENT and ease of LIFE.

Oneday, on a weekend I went to see Chennai bookfair, 48th one. Photos below are the creations in the bookfair and while coming back on bus and walk.

The main client for the bookfair.

While coming back, we had families on the bus stand and kids have their weekend responsibilities to fulfil.

While trying to find a nearest bus stand for the bus I need to ride back, seems lost. And I reached in a park where a cricket mach is going on. Spectators had local young enthusiasts and players too.

Like any other city in India, Chennai is full of falls promises from government. Still we have to dream, a dream of a house, peace and love.

And the dreamers will still find beauty beyond years long disturbances from Metro construction. A rain will happen soon, and it is for us to see its beauty in creation.

But those who stay in Chennai know, rain can happen anytime, it is a pain sometimes when you are dependent on so many other what ifs.

A Red for all

Devotees to Sabrimalai trip.
Devotees locally make groups and arrange a big bus to reach the base of the starting point. One of their relative said, they will be walking 98 km one way. Return will be through a short cut. Another said it is about 35~40 km.

Relatives bid goodbye to the bus full of their loved ones who is going to earn an abstract of God's blessing from this trip. Although full trust is with god Ayappa, but it still is better to take contact numbers in case of emergencies. One lady probably is taking another senior member's number to add her in this locally arranged trip's Whatsapp group.

Rabindranath and his songs, Rabindrasangeet is every Bengali's colour of their culture, essence of their values. Chennai has many Bengalis living their life in a different geographical and cultural world here. A group of people, friends had taken an initiative to sing Rabindrasangeet in a group, a large group rather, counting nearly 80. They will sing 20 songs all together, once, on stage. To do this, with so many members to be in sync, they are practicing for months. This session is one of them.

Kaas plateau - impossibly natural

You are lucky if you stay near Satara. If not, pack your camera, reach Kasara or Pune to reach this place. You will be welcome by a patient nature who did impossibly natural beauties there. We had hard time trying close our jaws and keeping our eyes open. Kaas is a flower land, a plateu full of varieties of flowers. They grow naturally, they live for a short time, like any other beauties. And the place keep on bringing new varieties within days. It all happens in June to October beginning, depending on temperature, humidity of the time. Lets stop talking or reading, start seeing the faint tr that me could through a mere light sealed box and lenses.
