Another new (old) lens - Minolta 85mm f1.7

Barter my designed bookshelf speakers for two Minolta primes.  : Minolta MD 85mm f1.7 - lot of fungus and scratches, yet workable for me : Minolta 100mm f2.5 - Never seen such a mishandled lens before this one. What a lens that is wasted by some user in the past. It is almost unusable now unless I can think of some special purpose. Shot with Minolta 85mmf1.7 on Sony NEX3 # Minolta MD 85mm f1.7

Street connections

For our sixth sense or something else (unknown to me), we feel a presence of the unknown person on the street who's interested or seems interesting to us. We look at them, for an instance. Sometimes, that's all that happens on the street. Sometimes it brings something more to them. I will try to tell you stories of those moments on the street here. Most of the time the story will say less but brings more questions. Isn't a photography image is supposed to be that only?

Durga pujo 2018

চতুর্থীর রাত - যখন দুর্গার হাত এ পড়েনি অস্ত্র, কিছু দুরন্ত শিশুর যখন মঞ্চ শুধু তাদের জন্যই The Fourth day pandal, when Goddess Durga didn't got her weapons, when all the others didn't got their getup ready yet. That is the time for those playful kids to own the stage for themselves for that night. Tomorrow will be for the devotees and audience.

#Udayshankar dance festival - Dancing with slow shoutter speeds

Slice of time is a slice, not a point. That slice spreads of little more than a fraction of a second says more than those frozen moments. At times it happens though, with right technique, right content and intent. And surprising to me, those blurred photos at times bring three dimensional feel as well. following images are my images showing depth of a story, movements of dances which are stitched steps actually. Hope you will like them. the three dimensional feel of the following three images are exemplary IMO.

#The night alleys of Kolkata

The streets of Kolkata was once full with manual rickshaw and their pullers. They were the life saver for ladies. they were the man of the monsoon to bring you right to your doorstep in those knee deep water filled alleys. Those little lit lanes with their misty light and friends walking with the same coherence are the symbol of Kolkata at night.
